Adenoidectomy

An adenoidectomy is a surgical procedure in which the adenoids, which are small masses of tissue located at the back of the nasal cavity, are removed. This surgery is often performed in children who have enlarged adenoids causing issues like frequent ear infections, breathing problems, or sleep apnea. The procedure is typically done under general anesthesia and is considered relatively straightforward. After surgery, most patients recover quickly, although some mild discomfort or swelling can occur.
