Gynaecology

Gynecology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the health of the female reproductive system. It involves the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions related to the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other parts of the female reproductive system. Gynecologists also manage issues such as menstrual disorders, fertility problems, pregnancies, menopause, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

In addition, gynecology often overlaps with obstetrics, which specifically deals with pregnancy and childbirth. Many doctors specialize in both fields, becoming obstetrician-gynecologists (OB-GYNs).
