Piles

Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are swollen veins in the lower part of the anus or rectum. They can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus). Piles are a common condition that can cause symptoms like itching, pain, discomfort, bleeding, and swelling around the anus. They are typically caused by increased pressure on the veins in the pelvic and rectal area, which can result from factors like constipation, straining during bowel movements, pregnancy, or sitting for long periods.

In many cases, piles can be managed with lifestyle changes, over-the-counter creams, and medications, but severe cases may require medical treatment.
